Darkness falls as I approach the southern tip Broadwell Dry Lake; it seems that the road is getting a bit better, not worse

There seems to be a bit less gravel on the road, and I seem to be having fewer problems maintaining traction here. I'll enjoy it while I can; it will probably get worse again once I reach Broadwell Dry Lake.
